Note about sight words:
The Dolch list is a selection of words found most frequently in children’s books. These words are known as “sight” words because the difficulty of illustrating or sounding them out necessitates learning them by sight. Performing activities involving sight words helps beginning readers recognize them more quickly and builds confidence – crucial steps to achieving reading fluency.
