My kids love to run around outside with their microscope. Bark, bugs and leaves up close. They also did an experiment with salt and sugar. In the winter they love to look at the frost on the windows up close and draw what they see.

This microscope is not a toy! From my experience as a parent and grandparent, I would recommend this from ages 7 to 12. Children get so excited when they view their own skin, or a bug, or a few grains of sand with this microscope! The 40X magnification is a big WOW when they bring into view the item under the lens! Kids will be more inclined to go outdoors when they have this microscope to use on a scavenger hunt or just exploring the critters in the cracks of the sidewalk! Would you believe this has a lifetime warranty?
