I know that shopping online with someone you don’t know can be a bit scary, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to help you feel comfortable with me as your Discovery Toys Play Advisor. My name is Florence Rhodes and I live in Richmond Township in Michigan with my husband, Ken. We have been married for 41 years. We have 29 year old triplet sons that are each married to wonderful gals. We also have five granddaughters, Isabelle who is 5-years old, Athena is 3-years old, Lucy is almost one, and Liberty and Alice are newborn both being born in April 2025.
I retired from teaching with 30+ years six years ago. As a special education teacher, I loved working with my students and parents over the years. There wasn’t a position that I didn’t enjoy, but my passion was elementary aged students and most specifically the programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
I was introduced to Discovery Toys when my sons were toddlers. I knew immediately that with the quality and multi-layered learning they offered that these were toys and games that I would purchase and earn through hosting parties. Over the years, Discovery Toys were the toys that I saved to use with my future grandchildren. I was thankful to have saved Discovery Toys over the years, as I also used them in my classroom.
After becoming a grandma, I decided that I wanted to get more of these special toys for my granddaughters. With my life experiences and knowing how wonderful Discovery Toys are, I chose to become a Play Advisor about five years ago. Now, I am excited that I can share them and the importance of play with you and anyone else that is willing to listen. ♥
