A Career That Makes A Difference!

 

I went from a Single Mom to a Six Figure Income earner with Discovery Toys. After my ex-husband left
me when my I was pregnant with my first son, my dream was to find a way to be the best Mom I could be
and literally provide a home for my baby and me. I found that Discovery Toys gave me the opportunity to

literally have it all.

 

Today I have a multi-million dollar sales organization in Discovery Toys that spans the continent and am
married to the man of my dreams, Thomas McDermott. Between us we have raised three bright, beautiful
sons, Cameron, Adam, and Jordan---again, thanks to Discovery Toys. Their lives have been so enriched by
my Discovery Toys business.   Lucky guys, their mom was a toy lady and they always had our fabulous award winning toys, books, andgames. I have witnessed how this gift of Discovery Toys gave them a genuine love of reading and lifelong learning--something very different from just the ability to read or learn. Perhaps as important, my sons have seen my goal setting and efforts make my dreams come true and as a result they know they can dream and achieve their goals as well.

 

The luxurious incentive trips that I have earned every year for over 20 years--just for doing what makes my
business work--have also created incredible opportunities for all of us to travel to memorable destinations
in the U.S.A, and the world including London, Paris, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, the Dominican
Republic, Vienna,   several Club Meds, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, Hawaii, Quebec and Puerto Rico. Discovery Toys has created lifetime memories for me and for my family.

 

As a young mother, I achieved my goal of literally making a home for my family. Our family now lives in
a beautiful home in Portland, Oregon with a picture postcard view of Mt. Hood framed by our magnificent
Oregon trees. I still drive the Jaguar XJ6 I earned from DT many years ago and a Trailblazer I earned more
recently. I love what I do. I love working with these classy, bright entrepreneurial women and men in
Discovery Toys. I love what this opportunity has done for me and for my family. And, best of all, I know
that all our efforts make a difference in the lives of children and families everywhere. Play is the work of
children and toys are their tools. Especially in an age where balancing screen time for young children with
child directed play has been found to be critical for proper brain development, Discovery Toys is a treasure.
